Have you ever felt that the world around you could be a little better, a little more of something or maybe even a lot? What if the things around you were more aesthetically pleasing, more organized, more sunny, more clean, more functional? That is the lens through which I am driven to evaluate the things that I notice in my presence.

In my small design practice, I am primarily focusing on the intimate physical world of the places we live in, from the door handle that you touch as you open the door to the light entering the windows from the south to the way you walk around and navigate your kitchen. Working with a range of project types, from budget friendly rental developments to luxury residential interior renovations, I work with my clients in a multitude of design challenges. The projects that I take on are as diverse as the people behind them, ranging in intent, budget, and architectural style. I have found that in all situations there is room for creative solutions that can bridge the gap between seemingly contradictory priorities. In the careful attention to context, site conditions, details and the client driven vision I find it ultimately satisfying working together as a team to come up with the best feasible solution.

Understanding that design and construction is a process and generally a rather large investment, I work to make sure that you are able to see your decisions come to life before committing fully to documenting the project. Visualizing the spaces whether through hand sketches, computer renderings or even virtual walkthroughs, I want to make sure that you understand how the space will be experienced allowing for quick decisions and adjustments to the design. It is then absolutely incredible seeing those decisions come together during construction from a set of 2 dimensional drawings that allows for full immersion in the experience of the physical space.
